This June 17-19th, TILTing Perspectives 2026 once again brought together scholars working at the intersection of law, technology, governance and society. In their contribution to the event, our ICPC colleagues Mauro Santaniello and Chiara Spinello addressed one of the most debated issues in contemporary digital policy: how Europe negotiates autonomy, dependency and power in an increasingly contested digital order. Specifically, as part of the panel, “Digital Sovereignty: Dimensions and Actors”, they presented their joint paper, “Digital Sovereignty in the European Parliament”, which examines how digital sovereignty is articulated, contested and reconfigured within the European Parliament.
