We are pleased to highlight a new article by Edoardo Celeste and Alba Pérez Victorio, published in Global Constitutionalism.

The paper introduces the concept of ‘eco-digital constitutionalism’, bringing together environmental and digital constitutionalism to explore the ecological challenges emerging from the digital revolution. Focusing on the EU, the authors examine the Declaration on Digital Rights and Principles as a normative blueprint and develop a typology of three digital sustainability principles.

The research offers a valuable framework for understanding the intersection of digital rights, environmental sustainability, and the EU’s twin transition — highlighting connections that are often overlooked when these dimensions are studied separately.
