DCN Member Joanna Kulesza Hosts SSIGIL 2025 Summer School in Łódź

In September 2025, DCN member Joanna Kulesza (University of Łódź / Łódź Cyber Hub) will co-host the Summer School on Internet Governance and International Law (SSIGIL) in Łódź, Poland. Held from 22–26 September 2025, the week-long programme will convene an international cohort of researchers to examine the governance challenges raised by Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite systems and connectivity in disaster-affected and underserved regions. Across interactive sessions, participants will explore the intersection of international law, internet governance, cybersecurity, digital sovereignty and sustainable development.

SSIGIL 2025 formes part of an Internet Society Foundation–supported research project on satellite broadband and international law and is delivered in cooperation with a wider network of partners, including GigaNet, the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE), UNU-CRIS and several university partners. Further information, including the programme and application details, is available on the summer school website.
