DCN Member Joanna Kulesza at IGF 2025

DCN member Joanna Kulesza co-organised an Open Forum held on Wednesday, 25 June at the Internet Governance Forum (IGF 2025) titled “Multistakeholder Governance & International Law in Cyberspace”.

The session, co-organised by the Łódź Cyber Hub and Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs, explored how international law can function as a confidence-building framework in cyberspace. Discussions focused in particular on the role of multistakeholder governance in fostering trust among states, private sector actors and civil society in an evolving digital legal landscape. The Open Forum brought together representatives from European and international institutions, including speakers from the European External Action Service, ICANN, Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other key policy actors. The event reflected ongoing efforts within the global internet governance community to clarify how international legal principles and multistakeholder processes can complement one another in addressing contemporary cybersecurity and digital governance challenges.
