Researcher at the Distributed AI Research Institute (DAIR)
Dr. Adio-Adet Dinika is a researcher at the Distributed AI Research Institute (DAIR) and co-lead of the Data Workers’ Inquiry project. With extensive fieldwork experience across Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda, and other African countries, Dr. Dinika’s research explores labor dynamics in the AI-driven economy, platform governance, and decolonial perspectives in technology. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) and has contributed to impactful studies on AI ethics and socio-economic impacts globally. As an advisory member, he is affiliated with the ZEMKI Lab on Platform Governance, Media, and Technology.
